MS Dhoni scared Ravindra Jadeja, who was coming in to field the ball as well, by attempting to throw the ball at him during the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings against Chennai Super Kings.
MS Dhoni’s leadership skills and calm persona both on and off the field have been a revelation in the 2018 Indian Premier League. Chennai Super Kings, who returned to the IPL after a two-year suspension, are in second position in the table thanks to Dhoni’s marshalling of his side. The former Indian skipper has scored 413 runs from 12 matches at a strike rate of 162.59, proving all his doubters wrong.
He has three fifties and a highest score of 79 not out to his name, thus contributing significantly to CSK’s eight wins from 12 matches this season.
On Sunday, in CSK’s victory against table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad Dhoni let viewers in on his lighter side as he successfully attempted to scare left-arm orthodox bowler Ravindra Jadeja.
When Shikhar Dhawan scored a single off a Harbhajan Singh delivery in seventh over of the first innings, Dhoni was seen running to quickly field the ball. But as he received the ball, he scared Jadeja, who was coming in to field the ball as well, by attempting to throw the ball at him.
The two could be seen smiling after the incident.
Chennai Super Kings, who have already qualified for the play-offs, will take on Delhi Daredevils in their next game on Friday at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Dhoni will be hoping for a finish in the top two as that would give the side two chances to enter the final.
