Maruti Suzuki India Limited has been working to launch the all-new WagonR in the Indian market. The all-new WagonR will be launched on 23rd January and after we brought you the first pictures of the car, here are more pictures of the exterior and the interior of the vehicle, revealing the all-new WagonR completely.
The upcoming WagonR looks nothing like the current version of the car. However, the overall silhouette remains the same. The all-new WagonR is based on a new platform, which is a heavily modified version of the current-generation WagonR. The updated hatchback will meet all the safety regulations of the upcoming BNVSAP regulations in the Indian market.
There are a host of changes to the all-new WagonR including the wrap-around almond-shaped headlamps, a new sportier bumper, new tall tail lamps and more. It also gets a partially blacked-out C-Pillar that gives a floating roof effect to the all-new WagonR.
On the inside, the all-new WagonR remains quite simple. There are a few number of buttons and the dashboard remains clutter free. The all-new WagonR gets a dual-tone dashboard with the black and beige colour.
There is a touchscreen infotainment system placed in the middle and it is expected to get the Android Auto connectivity. However, only the top-end versions are expected to get the touchscreen system along with Swift’s 1.2L K-series 1,197 cc engine that delivers 83 PS & 112 Nm of torque.
It will take on the all-new Santro and will also offer an automatic AMT transmission alongside the regular 5-speed manual transmission.
Complying with the new safety regulations, the all-new WagonR will come with features like a driver-side airbag, ABS+EBD, rear parking sensor, seatbelt reminder, speed warning as standard across the variants.
Apart from the new 1.2L engine, the all-new WagonR is expected to be powered by the same engine as the current generation WagonR. The same 1.0 K10 engine will be powering the all-new WagonR that generates a maximum power of 67 bhp and 90 Nm of peak torque.
