The First Indian Woman To Fight WWE Matches In Salwar-Kurti

We might not see a lot many Indians in the international wrestling circuit but the ones who've made it to WWE have made us proud.

After The Great Khali, Kavita Devi is winning hearts for her stint at the Mae Young Classic, an event by WWE. While her wrestling abilities are admirable, what really stands out is that she ditches the conventional, fancy outfits female wrestlers are known for and wears a simple kurti in the fighting ring instead!
From the simple kurti to the dupatta tied around her waist, our desi girl pairs her churidaar with boots while fighting and makes it all look so easy.

Watch Kavita Devi fight Dakota Kai dressed up like a traditional bharatiya naari here:

  Thought of the Day

“Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.”
