Shahid Afridi's Cryptic New Video is Reminding Cricket Fans of a Popular Adult Film Actor
That Pakistan's former cricket captain and power hitter Shahid Afridi loves coming back to international cricket after every 'temporary' retirement is already well-known to fans.
And though 38-year-old Boom Boom Afridi isn't returning to the pitch any time soon, he is still entertaining his fans through his posts on social media.
Ending 2018 on a very mysterious note, Afridi posted a cryptic video on his Facebook page on Monday, and titled it: 'Coming soon.'
Shot perhaps for an advertisement, the Pakistani cricketer is seen donning several hats, from doctor to civil engineer to office guy.
"Aap log confuse toh ho gaye hoge bataunga lekin kyun (You guys must be confused but I will let you know soon)," Afridi ends the video, keeping his fans wondering.
Afridi's brief appearance was enough for fans, especially from Pakistan, to get reminded of the adult film actor Johnny Sins, who is considered the 'king' of roleplays in the adult industry and is also quite popular among the meme-ing community.
This is what the viewers had to say. "Pakistani Johnny Sins in making," wrote one.
"Ap to johnny sins nikalay. Doctor, driver, sheikh, etc etc all at the same time," wrote another.
Johnny Sins' biopic, maybe?
Apart from the banter, there were many who missed the star in action.
Meanwhile, disgraced former captain Salman Butt has claimed that Shahid Afridi blocked his return to the Pakistan team for the 2016 World T20 despite him serving the five-year ban following the 2010 spot-fixing scandal.
The left-hander furthed said then head coach Waqar Younis and batting coach Grant Flower wanted him included in the team.
The 34-year-old said everything was cleared for his comeback to the Pakistan team before Afridi, who was the captain then, stepped in and blocked his return.
"I don't know what prompted him to do this but no I didn't go to him or speak about it. I didn't feel it was right. But what I know is that Waqar and Flower told me I was playing the World Cup and than Afridi resisted," Butt claimed.
