Ace shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap are hosting a wedding reception in Hyderabad.
 

 
 

Shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap got married on December 14th in a small ceremony. Saina then posted an image on Twitter calling Kashyap as the best match of her life. On Sunday, Saina and Parupalli are hosting a reception party for guests in Hyderabad. There were several celebrities attending the reception with several people standing outside to have a glimpse at the lovely couple at their reception. They heeded to the call and came out to greet the media and the fans along with their families.
 
Saina Nehwal was wearing a Sabyasachi Mukherjee gown on her wedding reception while Kashyap was wearing a dark blue Indian attire. Sabyasachi went on to share some pictures of the beautiful couple on social media. Here are the pictures-
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Saina Nehwal @nehwalsaina in a rich indigo velvet lehenga, intricately embroidered with zardosi, appliqué, pearls and crystals, for her wedding reception. Her look is accessorised with a wedding set crafted with Burmese rubies, uncut diamonds and emeralds from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection. Her groom, Parupalli Kashyap (@parupallikashyap), wears a quilted indigo sherwani in hand-dyed Murshidabad silk that is accessorized with hand-crafted Bengal tiger buttons. The sherwani is layered with a beautiful tussar georgette shawl with antique ‘tilla’ borders in burnt gold. Saina and Parupalli tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony on December 14, 2018. Saina then shared a picture with the caption ‘Best match of my life’ on Twitter.
 
 

 
 

Saina was wearing a violet and cream lehenga on her wedding day which was designed by Hyderabad-based designer Vaishali Agarwal. Kashyap, on the other hand, was dressed in a pink bandhgala and kurta. 
 
Both Saina and Kashyap had posted several pictures on social media of themselves inviting prominent celebrities in Hyderabad like actor Chiranjeevi, Governor ESL Narasimhan and their coach Pullela Gopichand. 
 
Saina and Kashyap announced their wedding earlier this year. Saina had said that they became closer after training and travelling together for several years. She also revealed that her parents already knew about Kashyap as she spent the most amount of time with him.
 
Saina Nehwal a three-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, a former World No.1 and the first Indian shuttler to win an Olympic medal. She has also won 10 Super Series titles including the prestigious China Open. At the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Saina defeated fellow Indian badminton player PV Sindhu in the final to win her second individual CWG gold. She has also received the Arjuna Award in 2009 and the Padma Shri and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2010. 
 
Meanwhile, Kashyap is also a Commonwealth Games gold medallist when he came first in 2014. He has also received a Arjuna award and is now looking to go into coaching.
