Sixth sense or Third Eye within humans is something that holds great power, and it’s been said that it’s the biggest secret kept from humanity.

It is not something that can be physically located on your body; rather it is a part of the subtle or etheric body. The etheric body is actually superimposed over the physical body and the corresponding chakras can be found on our physical bodies.

The blockage that comes because of your own self is due to the negativity you harbor within. Your fear, anxiety and disbelief can actually lead to the blockage of your third eye. If you let these things take hold of you then be sure to experience discomfort with respect to your sixth sense.

Blockage can be also because of past life karmic influence, or lack of spiritual lifestyle in past lives. Even showing disbelief in the idea of possessing a third eye can cause a blockage.

You need to let go of these negative thoughts and feelings because then you cannot channelize the energy of your sixth sense which will lead to disruption in your spiritual journey. You cannot let anything hamper your spiritual journey because it is really crucial for our growth and development as a human beings.

Blockage caused by other people comes in terms of negativity and skepticism that they show towards you in their behavior. Such people can seriously damage your intuitive faculties with their cynical attitude and your self-respect can take a deep hit. You cannot fight with a person for the beliefs they hold but you can always avoid such rigid people in life.

A blocked third eye receives no form of energy. In order to unblock it you need to divert energy from other sources to your third eye. The best option you have is your two physical eyes as they are also close in proximity to your third eye. In order to redirect energy to the third eye, you must allow your physical eyes to become unseeing.

1. DULL SENSATION OF PRESSURE BETWEEN THE EYEBROWS

The manifestation of the third eye is preceded by a corresponding sensation between the eyebrows. You’d feel a warm and light touch if you’re meditating regularly. This sensation would grow prominent with concentration. This sensation is, however, not necessarily triggered by spiritual thoughts – it can appear suddenly, out of nowhere. This feeling, in turn, becomes a reminder and pulls you back into the realm of spirituality.

2. FORESIGHT

Foresight or intuition is the ability to anticipate things before they actually happen. Concentration and spiritual growth results in the formation of an intuitive mindset, which becomes stronger over time. Initially, it’s a tingling feeling, a momentary spider-sense that comes and goes. But with regular meditation, this intuitive feeling grows stronger and governs our lives.

3. GRADUAL, PERSISTENT CHANGE

The manifestation of the spiritual eye also accounts for a seamless, gradual change in our ideas and perspectives in life. The change is not a forceful, ritualistic process but a continuous one. It is characterized by a gradual channeling of positive energy, which happens only when you want it to. Much of the above-mentioned phenomenon are subtle and are not always apparent before the bare eyes. However, the vision of light is as apparent as it gets. The light appears in the spot between the eyebrows when you deeply meditate and concentrate on the third eye. The light may form dots, circles and abstract patterns, but at the final stage, it evolves to be a five-pointed star and glows with a golden hue in a dark blue sphere. This manifest form of the spiritual eye is widely known and celebrated in visual and verbal cultures of East and West.
