Ingredients:
1.1-1/2 Cup Long Grain (Basmati) Rice
2.1 cup green peas
3.50 gms paneer (cut into small cubes and deep fried)
4.A small bunch of methi (fenugreek) leaves (chopped)
5.2 tomatoes (chopped)
6.4-5 flakes of garlic (paste)
7.2-3 green chillies (chopped)
8.1/4th tsp. turmeric powder
9.Red chilli powder to taste
10.Salt to taste
11.1tbsp oil/butter
How to make methi pulao:
1.Wash methi properly and drain the water and keep aside.
2.Heat oil in the pan and add garlic paste and fry till light brown.
3.Now add tomatoes, peas. Methi, green chillies, salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir-fry for 8-10 minutes.
4.Add rice and fry well for another 5 minutes.
5.Add enough water and pressure cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
6.Garnish with fried paneer.
7.Serve the methi (fenugreek) pulao hot with chilled raita.
