शास्त्र कहते हैं कि अठारह दिनों के महाभारत युद्ध में उस समय की पुरुष जनसंख्या का 80% सफाया हो गया था। युद्ध के अंत में, संजय कुरुक्षेत्र के उस स्थान पर गए जहां संसार का सबसे भीषणतम व महानतम युद्ध हुआ था।
