Greater Noida:Govt clears proposal for setting up a new airport in Jewar
New Delhi: Government on Saturday cleared proposition for setting up another airplane terminal in Jewar in Greater Noida, Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has affirmed.
As per the Civil Aviation Ministry, site clearance for the primary period of the air terminal at Jewar in Greater Noida is visualized to be finished in five years.
Explaining on the venture, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said the main period of the airplane terminal - Noida International Airport - is relied upon to cost Rs 10,000 crore.The UP government had in April looked for a crisp "specialized assessment" for the proposed worldwide air terminal at Jewar in the state.
The proposition for specialized assessment for Jewar airplane terminal was made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-drove government which came to control a month ago.
Against the scenery of rising air traveler movement, there have been dialogs for setting up a moment airplane terminal in the National Capital Region (NCR).
A year ago, the Civil Aviation Ministry said it had gotten a proposition from the then state government for give of site freedom for the proposed airplane terminal close Jewar.
The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital handles around 1,100 flights each day and arrangements are in progress to expand the aerodrome's ability.
