Sambhal: Setting an exmple, a Turk people group panchayat in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal region has slapped a fine of Rs 2 lakh on a Muslim man for giving triple talaq to his wife.
Other than slapping a fine on the spouse, the panchayat requesting that he pay Rs 60,000 "mahr" to his significant other and furthermore restore the share.
The panchayat was gone to by individuals from 52 towns at the Madarsa Khalil-ul-Uloom in Sambhal's Raisati region.
The couple, a 45-year-old man and a 22-year-old lady, had been hitched for scarcely 10 days. There was a battle, provoking the man to articulate talaq thrice in an attack of wrath and requesting that his significant other come back to her parental town.

Abdul Nazeer ended up hearing for the situation following six days on a group of petitions that tested the established legitimacy of triple talaq.
The legislature may need to venture in and institute a law to boycott triple talaq if the Muslim people group neglects to "change" the practice, Union pastor M Venkaiah Naidu had recenlty opined.
"It is for the general public to take up the issue and it will be great if the (Muslim) society itself changed the practice. Something else, a circumstance may emerge where the legislature should acquire an enactment (restricting triple talaq)," Naidu had said.
