HYDERABAD: The private companies, who have issued notices to their Kashmir-based employees for lauding Pulwama terror attack, have initiated action against them.

Through a speed post to him, a Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company has informed one of its employees in Srinagar about his suspension and also termination if he did not respond to a show-cause within two weeks.

The employee Riyaz Ahmed Wani had posted a message on Facebook saying: “Athh wanaan surgical strike – meaning “This is called surgical strike” on his Facebook account on February 14 when a Pakistan-based terror group had killed 42 CRPF soldiers in a terror attack. “Because of your anti-national message, the company has started receiving furious comments as why an anti-national element exists in our organisation,” the company said in the notice. “Because of your act which is grave and serious in nature, you are hereby suspended with immediate effect, pending further action in the matter,” the company said.

Another Ahmedabad-based healthcare company has suspended its Srinagar-based employee Iqbal Hussain with immediate effect for his comment, “This is called a real surgical” on a post by another user Riyaz Ahmed Wani.

Iqbal Hussain, a market executive in one of the division of the healthcare company, was given two days time to respond to the show-cause notice issued to him on Feb 15 and informed that his services would be terminated with immediate effect if no explanation was received.
