It needs a strong will, determination, motivation and loads and loads of effort. Vijay Katariya, who hit gym merely out of keeping a friend company, is now a fitness inspiration himself. The man has won many awards and medals in recognition of his fit looks. We reached out to him to know the recipe of toning shoulders as he has got beefy shoulders which other men can't help but envy. But fret no more. Here's how he got them in just two months!

The turning point: A friend of mine who was very lean earlier toned his body and became such a handsome, muscular man. Before that, I had never thought about hitting the gym myself but when I saw him transform, I wanted to get fit as well. He motivated me to join his gym along with him and there I met the mentor I still worship. My friend and my mentor were true reasons behind my life changing for the better.
My breakfast: Muesli, an apple, protein shake and 8 egg whites
My lunch: 250 grams of boiled chicken with one bowl of vegetable and curd
My dinner: Steamed vegetable, 4 egg whites and protein shake
I indulge in: I don't indulge in junk snacks anymore. I just take one apple, green tea and a bowl of oats without salt every evening.
My workout : I don't stick to one thing. I try all sorts of things and lately, I have indulged in running, HIIT, weight lifting and even yoga.
Duration it took me to sculpt shoulders: 2 months on working on shoulders after I had started working out.

Most effective exercises for shoulders: I love all exercises and I think it is only the right combination of them which gets you the desired results but I think upright rowing and barbell shrugs can be called the most effective.
What are the lifestyle changes that I made?
I incorporated a regular exercise routine in my life and have made sure that I never ever go without it. Along with it, a balanced diet and time management are the two crucial elements. If you don't make time for fitness in your life, you can never get the results you desire. Time management is of utmost importance.
What shape do I see myself 10 years down the line?
I want to look like Jason Statham. He is my role model and my driving force.
