45-year-old woman loses life after being administered wrong blood group during transfusion

Keonjhar (Odisha): A Government run hospital at Keonjhar in Odisha is under fire after a woman was allegedly administered the wrong blood group for the duration of a transfusion manner, which proved fatal.

The sanatorium authorities admitted to the error, whilst the chief District clinical Officer (CDMO), Kavindra Prasad Sahu stated as in line with a training of the district Collector, laboratory technician Bharati Mahanta and staff nurse Hemangini Mahanta were dismissed for gross negligence.
