6 Bollywood Actors Who Started Small With A TV Career & Are Now Enjoying Mega Stardom

The small and the Silver Screen are worlds apart but interestingly, a lot of Bollywood stars began their careers on a humble note through daily soaps, while some also took baby steps to success and started from commercials.

There is no doubt that people connect to TV more than Bollywood as TV actors, in comparison, are more accessible and relatable for the audience and we watch them almost on a daily basis via serials.

However, stardom associated with films is far more than that of the television industry, which is why a lot of TV stars aim to finally make it to Bollywood.

Here are six Bollywood actors who started their careers from TV-

1. Shah Rukh Khan

The Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan began his career from the small screen and struggled a lot to reach where he is today. He started his acting career in the year 1989 with TV shows such as Fauji and Circus which were aired on Doordarshan back then.

After a span of three years, he made his Bollywood debut with Deewana in the year 1992. Now, he is one of the most loved and revered actors in the industry with a slew of films under his name that were blockbuster hits at the box office.

2. Vidya Balan

She started her career with the iconic comedy series Hum Paanch in the 90’s and later made her debut in Bollywood in 2005 with Parineeta starring opposite Saif Ali Khan.

She is one of the most versatile actresses in the industry who has been able to make a huge mark with her stellar acting and choice of films.
