Shah Rukh Khan Seeks Guidance From Aamir Khan For The Rakesh Sharma Biopic Titled Salute?
Aamir Khan is gearing up for his next film Thugs of Hindostan, which is perhaps the most anticipated films of the year. When he had announced that he would be a part of the biopic based on the life of the first Indian astronaut, Rakesh Sharma, titled Salute, people were excited. After all, it would have been yet another where Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist would have gone above and beyond his protocol and transformed himself both physically and mentally to fit the role. That’s what he always does, doesn’t he? However, he later on opted out of it, citing Thugs of Hindostan as the reason. As we had reported earlier in the day, he is also set to start prepping for Mahabharata. Well, now as per reports Shah Rukh Khan has come on board to play the lead character in the biography, replacing Aamir and now reports indicate that SRK is taking Mr Perfectionist’s help for the research of the film.
DNA quoted a source as saying, ““King Khan has asked Aamir to help him out with the research he did for the film when he was supposed to do it. Knowing what a perfectionist Aamir is, he must have done detailed research and SRK will only benefit from that.” Furthermore, he said, “SRK will wrap up Zero by April-end, after which he will be busy for the next three months prepping for his character in Salute. He will be doing his own research with his team and studying the nuances to play the astronaut. That’s why he’s taken a three-month break in between to devote himself fully to the biopic.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is shooting for Aanand L Rai’s Zero, which he is also co-producing along with the filmmaker. In the film, SRK portrays the character of a vertically-challenged person. It has already piqued our interests. The film also features Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles and is expected to have a Christmas release this year.
