In the wake of the deadliest ever militant attack on the nation's security forces, people of the country and stars from the Bollywood film fraternity has come forward to stand in solidarity and support the families of the martyred jawans. 40 CRPF jawans were killed when a terrorist rammed a car full of explosives into the convoy of soldiers who were returning back from home. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who is riding high on the success of her recent release 'Manikarnika' had cancelled the success party of the film in solidarity with the grieving nation.
The actress also called out prominent filmmakers Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar as anti-nationals. Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar turned down an invitation by the Karachi Arts Council in the wake of the Pulwama attacks. The actress questioned why they wanted to go to Karachi even since Pakistani artists were banned after the Uri attacks. The actress also said that the film industry is full of such anti-nationals who boost enemies morals. However, Kangana's statement didn't go down well with many people.
Reacting to Kangana's statement, Shabana Azmi asked that at a time like this when the entire country stands as one in our grief and in condemning this dastardly Pulwama attack, a personal attack on her can be of any significance. The veteran actress said may God bless Kangana.
Bollywood actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, and many others have also taken to their social media profiles to extended their condolences to the families of the martyrs and has condemned the cowardly attacks.
