Bollywood celebrities, including filmmakers Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Ram Gopal Verma, Anurag Kashyap and Madhur Bhandarkar along with actors Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor have expressed their anger after Rajput Karni Sena people created ruckus and vandalised the units of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati in Jaipur. In a sequence of tweets, they careworn the whole film fraternity have to come together and take a stand.
Bhansali became slapped and assaulted on Friday by individuals of Karni Sena who staged an indignant protest at Jaigarh fort in Jaipur where Bhansali become taking pictures for his next, Padmavati. In a video that has long gone viral, protesters are visible walking amok, unfavorable cameras and different taking pictures system at the same time as elevating slogans and spewing abuses in Hindi.
Favouring the national Award winning director, the Kaabil actor took to Twitter and said, “Mr Bhansali , Sir. I stand with you. this is so infuriating!!!!”
Popping out in defence of the Bajirao Mastani director, Johar tweeted, “Am appalled at what has came about with Sanjay Bhansali....this is the time for all us as an enterprise to face by our humans and fraternity!!”
“Having been through many instances of turmoil throughout a movie shoot or release...I apprehend Sanjay’s emotion at this factor...I stand by means of him,” he added.
Describing the latest attack on the referred to filmmaker as condemnable, Bhandarkar on Saturday said that acts like these are highly shameful in a rustic like India.
