22-Year-Old Bengaluru Student Bags Rs 1.2 Crore Annual Package At Google

A 22-year-old student from International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIIT-B) has landed a job at Google with a pay package of Rs 1.2 crore per annum.
 

 
 

Aditya Paliwal, a student of integrated MTech, will now be working with Google’s Artificial Intelligence research wing in New York and will be joining work on July 16. Aditya will be receiving his convocation certificate during IIIT-B’s 18th convocation ceremony on Sunday.
 
Aditya, from Mumbai, shot to limelight when Google conducted a test for their research in Artificial Intelligence technology. He was one of the 50 students selected from a pool of 6,000 participants from across the world.
 
Aditya was also one of the finalists of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in 2017-2018. It is one of the prestigious competitions for computer language coding enthusiasts.
 
Simran Dojania and Shyam K B were his teammates in the event which concluded in April. This year, around 50,000 students from 3,098 universities from 111 countries participated in the event.

“I got the offer in March and I was waiting for it. I’m really happy and I hope to learn as many things I can during my tenure at Google,” Aditya told TOI.
 
 
Asked about his five-year-long stay in Bengaluru, Aditya said: “Overall, it was a very good experience. My teachers encouraged me to do better and also supported the innovative ideas. My seniors also played crucial role.”
 
Besides programming, Aditya loves driving and is an ardent follower sports such as football and cricket.
