Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul Say Kohli Better Than Tendulkar, Get Brutally Roasted on Twitter
Comparing cricketers is not an unknown phenomenon in India and the debate around who the better batsman is between the current number one Virat Kohli and the legend Sachin Tendulkar has led to some heated discussions among fans in the cricket community.
Recently, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul became the first ever cricketers to make an appearance on the popular celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan, and they ruffled some feathers with their opinions.
The duo talked about their crushes, lifestyle, parties, and Bollywood, but it was the rapid-fire round that quickly went viral on social media and among cricket fans.
During the round, Karan Johar, who is usually armed with 'tough' and 'controversial' questions, asked the duo who, according to them, was the better batsman between Kohli and Tendulkar.
And the cricketers picked their skipper, Kohli, without any hesitation.
Both Pandya and Rahul were later slammed on social media for choosing Kohli over Tendulkar.
And old videos resurfaced.
When asked who the better captain was between MS Dhoni and Kohli, the all-rounder said, "MS Dhoni because I made my debut and it was fantastic". "In terms of achievement, yes MS Dhoni," Rahul responded.
Last year, when Kohli appeared on Gaurav Kapur's chat show, ‘Breakfast with Champions’, the Indian skipper scoffed at the thought of him being compared to the cricketing legend.
“You can only compare those who are worthy of the comparison. You are comparing me to someone because of whom I started playing cricket in the first place. There is no comparison in terms of skill level. He’s the most complete batsman ever. Then how can you even compare? I’ve always said it’s not fair on him. Because of what he’s given us, he doesn’t deserve to be compared to us. This generation, no chance.”
