So the holidays are officially over for Priyanka Chopra and it’s time for some work. The actress returned to Mumbai last week, sans Nick Jonas with whom she was last seen cycling on the streets of New York. The ‘too much in love’ couple also went on a double date with Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, but we’re not getting into the details now. PeeCee will soon start working on her Bollywood projects including Bharat, that goes on floors on July 17. As you read this piece, the actress is going through a script of another Hindi film she has signed.
Not long ago, there were reports that suggested Priyanka has been sent a script by Margarita with a Straw director Shonali Bose. Well here’s a confirmation on the same. Priyanka has signed the dotted line and is currently going through the script. In a picture PeeCee shared on her Insta story, we see the name of the film on its 29th draft written as The Sky Is Pink. “And it begins #prep #hindimovie” [sic] read the caption.
If reports are to be believed, Priyanka will share screen space with Farhan Akhtar. The film is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, a young motivational speaker who was born with immune deficiency disorder. Indian Express quoted a source as saying, “The movie is based on Aisha’s life and her book My Little Epiphanies. Priyanka and Farhan will play her parents’ role. Zaira Wasim will be portraying Aisha’s role in the film. The film goes on floors in August this year.”
