OnePlus on Tuesday posted the first official renders of its upcoming OnePlus 7T smartphone on its official forum. The smartphone seems to be a more 'rounded off' variant of the OnePlus 7 launched earlier this year.
The smartphone will have an even smaller display notch at the top, that was reduced to a dewdrop notch starting from OnePlus 6T. Also new would be the rear camera setup, that has now been placed in a circular dial centrally. The smartphone is now officially confirmed to sport three cameras.
OnePlus also teased the 90Hz, Fluid AMOLED display that will be fitted on the OnePlus 7T. The display made its debut on the OnePlus 7 Pro and was praised by critics for delivering great performance and perceived speed.
Just like in the past, when OnePlus brought forward special finishes for its 'T' badged smartphones, this year too will see a special colour.
Pete Lau on OnePlus forums said: While we were extremely happy with our matte-frosted glass, we didn't stop there. We kept exploring, improving, and trying new things. The result? A new smooth matte surface with a brilliant metallic radiance, and we're excited to be introducing this new finish on our upcoming flagship.
The smartphone will be unveiled on 26 September, the company has confirmed. We can also expect the launch of the much anticipated OnePlus TV on the same day.
Another smartphone player, Motorola, has also entered the smart TV space. Motorola is now offering an Android 9-based smart TV that comes with in-built support for Android game controllers. Ranging between ₹13,999 for the 32-inch variant and ₹64,999 for the 65-inch variant, the Motorola TV will go on sale starting 29 September.
29 September will also see the first sale of Xiaomi's new line of smart TVs that were launched today. Xiaomi added more screen sizes in its Mi TV Pro 4X and Mi TV 4A lineups. It has also updated its PatchWall UI TV interface—it now has out-of-the-box support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
