SSLC exams in Karnataka begin; 8.77 lakh students appear
Bengaluru: The SSLC exams commenced in Karnataka from Thursday with around 8.77 lakh understudies showing up crosswise over 2,770 examination focuses.
According to Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board chief Yashoda Bopanna and Department of Public Instruction Commissioner Sowjanya, out of 8.77 lakh understudies, 4.69 lakh are young men while 4.07 lakh are young ladies.
In the wake of expanded weight from understudies, guardians and the overall population, the KSEEB has chosen to permit understudies, who arrive even 15 minutes late (till 9:45 am), inside the exam corridor.
To guarantee that understudies and educators don't confront any challenges in directing the SSLC examination, the barricade has set a helpline number. One can dial 080-23310075, 76 till 2.30 pm.
Be that as it may, according to updated examination designs, understudies will be furnished with the question and answer scripts independently. "Till a year ago, understudies couldn't take the question papers back home. In any case, from this year, they can," an officer told the Deccan Chronicle.
Safety efforts have been increased and the Karnataka Secured Examination System has been acquainted with the SSLC exams too. "40 CCTV cameras have been introduced at the KSEEB office. Cameras at 30 area treasuries and four sub-treasuries will be observed 24x7 from KSEEB," authorities revealed to Deccan Chronicle.
More than 2,000 government schools and helped schools are facilitating the exams.
