In a bid to meet competition from private telecom operators, nation-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam restricted (BSNL) nowadays announced cell television provider ‘Ditto television’ and constrained fixed cell telephony, an app that genuinely turns mobiles into the cordless phone operating in sync with landlines within home premises.
BSNL claimed the modern day limited fixed cell Telephony (FMT) provider is “one of a kind” from the contentious fixed cell Telephony provider it announced remaining yr, however, was pressured to the position on reserve following a vehement competition from cell operators.
The earlier provider allowed customers on roaming in India and foreign places to connect their landlines through mobile and make calls through them...however, this provider is restrained in the home premises,” BSNL Chairman and managing Director Anupam Shrivastava instructed PTI.
Shrivastava said he did no longer anticipate any objection to this “limited” provider.
To avail the service, clients will need BSNL’s landline, cellular, broadband connectivity.

This service is in no manner connected with mobile operator provider or purchaser SIM in the cellular handset,” the assertion clarified.
The restrained FMT carrier can be availed as add-on provider, the statement stated including that separate smartphone range will be furnished to a purchaser to avail this provider. limited FMT call costs will be as applicable for fundamental service, it pointed out.
On the mobile TV offering, the company said that BSNL mobile users need to download Ditto TV app from the play store, install it on mobile, register and then start using the service, which is available on subscription basis at Rs 20 per month and is also bundled with Data Special Tariff Voucher for recharge of Rs 223.
