There was an embarrassing glitch on stage during Apple iPhone X launch

The tech world is talking about Apple’s 10th anniversary phone -- the iPhone X – among a range of announcements it made at its launch event, but many also noticed an on-stage embarrassing moment for the tech giant.
As Apple senior vice president Craig Federighi introduced the Face ID on Tuesday, he could not unlock Apple’s latest phone on his first attempt during the on-stage presentation.
The iPhone X has an infrared camera and hardware for facial recognition, which replaces the fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone. The home button is also gone, and users instead tap the device to wake it up.
This is not the first time there has been a hiccup on stage during a Apple launch event. Watch this video of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs encountering technical issues on stage:
In 2012, the Microsoft Surface tablet appeared to crash while being launched. Steven Sinofsky, the President of Windows and Windows Live Division, spoke to the audience while trying to get the tablet to work and eventually went backstage to get a backup tablet.
In April 1995, a glitch came up when Bill Gates was presenting a pre-launch version of Windows 98 live on television. As a scanner was plugged into the system to show how Windows could automatically install the drivers for the device, the PC crashed to show the ‘blue screen of death’. “That must be why we are not shipping Windows 98 yet,” Gates said after the error.
